12 for $20 USD, 50 torso's

“Grenadiers now change your song
And talk, no more of battles won
No victory shall grace us now
Since we have lost our Marlborough.”

During the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714) Cavalry comprised about 30% to 40% of most armies. There were many terms used to describe cavalry including horse, cuirassiers, dragoons, horse grenadiers, light horse and hussars. Wargames Factory has produced a set that should meet the needs of nearly every army fielded by the majority of armies in this European conflict.

Our long anticipated War of Spanish Succession Cavalry set can be made into 12-Horsemen and comes with 12-horses, 12-sets of legs for riders, over 50-torsos (including armored torsos for cuirassiers) and over 60-heads (including tri-corn, helmeted, grenadier and dragoon headwear). They can be armed with a brace of pistols, muskets/carbines and/or swords. Heads and accessories are interchangeable with the WSS Infantry set for even more options! Models come with 25mm x 50mm cavalry bases and are supplied unpainted. Models require assembly.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

Can't imagine where the demand for this is... Still, looks nice for what it is.

Seriously though, I wish GW would make packs like these and the SW one for other chapters. Packed with even MOAR options/gear!

The demand is right here, baby. And now there is supply, ooh yeah.

I'm one of the people who pre-ordered on the Liberty and Union site. Just logged in to purchase my three boxes.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

You mean there are games outside of what GW produces? Whaaaat?!

As to the models, they look pretty nice. I'm more of a late 18th, early 19th kinda guy though.

Just to let everyone know WGF stuff is noticeably smaller than GW to the extent that you can't cross heads (but can guns and hands and add ons like back packs). It is sort of heroic 25mm not 28mm...

Still...for the price, I am pleased with the 3 boxes (60minis) of Boer War guys I got...now just need to find 60 lasguns...

I have to admit, I didn't get Wargames Factory as WGF, my odds of getting 'War of Spanish succession' as WSS were practically zero

Not a period I'm particularly interested in, but good to see so many manufacturers coming out with quality looking plastics these days.

Probably work

I want to see the set assembled, given their recent swing-and-a-miss with the heavy weapon guys. Still, it's reassuring looking at this point. I might have found a good horse/legs for my rough riders.

it probably doesn't but was just trying to describe them...they aren't like Perry or Victrix (True Scale) they are more Heroic Style, but they are shorter/smaller than GW so more like 25mm...
