I'm very pleased to say that THQ have eventually pulled their collective fingers out and released the patch to repair some of the initial problems gamers were experiencing with the new release Space Marine.
For PlayStation 3 you will notice that when you try to start the game, you are advised to update the system, so exit your game go over to system updates and let the download install the patch.
and hey presto, I can now access on-line games....Cool.

When patching a console game, developers have to go through a certification process with Microsoft and Sony, which usually adds at least two weeks of delay.

I still can't acess online play-it says something about parental restirctions. I asked my dad, he doesn't know why it's doing this...

You've probably got a sub account, not a master account, which means that even if parental restrictions are turned off, you can't play games.
For example, the age of my account was registered as 17, but I couldn't play Bad Company 2 online, because I had a sub account, which somehow means that I'm not old enough.

Incidentally, I can play other games online (although admittedly this is the first 15-rated game I've got with online capability).
