Why can you take digital weapons on this guy when he has an annointed blade? I can't make sense of it but maybe I am missing something.

Yah, I see no reason why you would want digital weapons on him since you can only ever re-roll a dice once, and both rules refer to re-rolling failed to wound.

Exactly, your Anointed Weapon lets you do exactly what Digital Weapons do, but with all failed wounds instead of a single one.

its a truly useless upgrade.

My guess is that the option was added before the rules for Annointed Blade were made/finalized and never got taken out.

Or its their for completeness, and for cool modelling abilities.

It's there because GW is very bad at editing. Unless you think they are in the habit of making traps for stupid people. Which, sometimes, I get to thinking.

Digi-weapons are re-roll 1 to wound, no to hits.

So the anointed already does what Digi-weapons does, but with all to-hit rolls.

Also you cannot ever re-roll a re-roll, so digi-weapons is a worthless upgrade(unless you really feel you have to reach your points limit and have an extra 5 points).

Sorry I read the question wrong; as the above poster said, yes, you can reroll the to-hit with titans herald(I though you were still talking about digi-weapons, new baby makes me answer questions that are not there).

Digi weapons only work in close combat so no rerolls on the storm bolter shots.

Maybe he borrowed a Jokero's digital weapon They work at a distance.

This could be an artifact of 6th ed that appears to be misplaced in a 5th ed codex. We do not know yet what digital weapons will do in 6th, but there are a number of indicators that point to the GK codex being 6th compatable based on the rumors foating around on how 6th ed will be structured.

As it stands, digital weapons are useless for a BroChamp. This will probably not be the case next edition.

Unless they change how rerolls work, such as allowing multiple reroll sources to stack, the Digital Weapons will still be useless as how they are used is a codex specific rule.

This is.....a semi sensible answer. I'm not sure I'd go so far as to think it is likely, but it strikes me as at least possible.
