Heya guys, I usually stick to the Swap Shop but I find myself in need of some help with a Logan wing list. I've come up with a few questions that I'm not really sure of, I apologize if any of these where answered elsewhere.

1. Can I run a mixed unit of Wolf Guard? IE some with power armor, some with Terminator Armor?

2. If a Wolf Guard with power Armor joins a unit of Wolf Scouts, does he come on from a table edge with the unit? Or does the unit forfeit this ability when he joins them?

3. Does anyone have any general advice on running a logan wing list? I'm thinking of drop podding in and then bringing wolf scouts on from the edge to assist with objectives or to take out vehicles. Good idea? Bad idea?

1. yes they can be mixed.
2.the squad does not lose the ability and the power armoured wolf guard will enter play with them as they normally would.
3. I have no expeirence running a logan wing so for this I can't help you but it sounds like a decent Idea to me.

I have had a lot of success with my Loganwing army. It is all wolf guard termies, logan, and landraiders. It is used as a proxy list due to the fact that my Dark Angels are so sad and unloved, these days. (curse you Jervis Johnson) I haven't lost with them yet, a few ties but no losses. I have not tried the drop pod method with them yet, or taken them agaist GK, but just about everything else yes. I used to drop pod my Deathwing army back in the day, it used to scare the hell out of people to have termies that close so soon and the new drop pod assault rules make it more reliable then ever. Hope this helps you.

Put them in land raiders. Logan's Heroes lists (and any Terminator-heavy list) should have some protection in heavy armor and a means to get close.

Yeah I'd like to run a Raider or two at Higher Points values. I'm actually thinking of running mixed squads, and have a few normal power armored marines lugging around storm shields so that if I fail the invulnerable I don't lose a termy. Also they could bulk out the squads a bit. Question on this though, if I have a mixed squad of Terms and regular marines would the Terms prevent me from preforming a sweeping advance? Also, Thanks for the help thus far guys.

Yes they would I believe since the squad moves only as fast as the slowest member.

I know I feel so ashamed every time I play them. (curse you Jervis Johnson) But it beats getting you face kicked in and over paying for crappy termies, plus a special character that couldn’t scare a rattling away from his lunch.

Well they are Dark Angels that have seen the folly of their ways and are trying to make up for it.

I'd say go drop pod...
It might be a touch more dangerous but you can get more troops on the field. You can only get 4 LR max to use as transports...
Though they would wreck a considerable amount of face...

but those 4 land raiders scare the paint off of people

I just mean it is a lot of fun to use 4 landraiders and all termies in a game, but some people might not take it to well in a pick up game so best to reserve it for friends. Really fun in about 3500-4000 points.


Oh for the days when Deathwing armies were all Termies, Dread, and Landriaders. Especially since Termies could fill any force org slot and they all could take a Landraider transport. Curse you Jervis Johnson for touching our codex, that withered old man should have stayed in the black library under a large stack of second edition books.
