Well I nautical started playing thise beautiful game again. I play in Delaware at our awesome local Gw so that being said its very competitive but also fun . I sold my minis due to life but now that I got a job in my graduating field I am doing much better. But also don't want to waste money on models I don't need. So I have some army's in mind before I say that a ton of people there play Mech BA and Mech IG!
So 1. Mech eldar. Mayb someone can explain
how this list works in the competitive environment.
2.ork kan wall to big for a newbie? Will it get cut down by blobs if IG before I get to them? Maybe battle wagon rush?
3.Dark Eldar venom rush? How we'll does this work?. How do they so in the competitive environment?
4. The Ig Mech list . Boy this list works for sure but everyone plays it?
So if you could help me determine what is best or just help me figure things out that would be awesome!
Thanks also if you have any helping list that would ne much appreciated. Or if you have any of theses army's for sale pm me thanx

All those options can be competitive. I will add thoughts to the kan wall as that is typically what I play.
The ork kan wall is not that complicated to be honest. Simple tactic really. Get 9 kans arm them all with rokkits (others will argue what ever they like but fact is rokkits work all the time) then take about 60-90 boys and walk them behind the kan wall. The wall is protected by the KFF mek (2 of them actually). They give your kans a 4+ save and your kans give your boys a cover save in return.
Lootas are very popular in a kan wall (basically every ork army can use lootas). I like 2x5 or 2x15 depending on your point level.
Suicide buzzcoptas are great too. Ran in single units to mess up those IG manticores and such that you will likely face. They turbo boost and alpha strike so usually they make up for their points in the end. Some say rokkit buggies can fill this roll as well.
The kan wall is a competitive build and has worked well for many. It is fun to paint and build as well. The basics you will need for this army
3 boxes killa kans
6-8 boxes boys (do yourself a favour and get the cheap ones off ebay) I make mine all shoota (not gonna argue why this is better than slugga for this purpose but others may disagree...they don't know what they are talking about)
2 boxes lootas (don't use the mek just make another loota)
2 big meks with KFF (you can buy the GW model or make one yourself which is better IMO)
That should start you off. Also you can find people selling 3 deffcoptas on ebay for under 10$ so get them there.

If you want to know how Mech Eldar Works, I have battle reports in my sigs that explain alot.
Dark Eldar is very competitive, IG is on the decline but still a great gunline.
Orcs is a great army to play if you can pull the mindset off.
Death Angels with FNP terminator deathstars is popular.
Space Wolves with 15 Longfangs always does well.
Chaos Demons can be top tier if you play it right.
Tau/Tyranids are basically out of competitive play tho.

The "top" tournament armies right now are Grey Knights, Space Wolves, and DE and IG appear to be right on the edge of greatness (they both seem to place well in competitive events, but not quite first).
I have a mech IG army myself, and it performs well, but I would caution against playing a true "gun line." Without aggressive elements and elements that can react to your opponent's own aggression, you'll find yourself quickly overwhelmed when MEQ-types get into your lines, which has been the same story forever for the IG

Ultra competitive Eldar is honestly kind of boring right now. Its basically- spam "DAVU" like its going out of style. In case you don't know DAVU means "dire avenger vehicle upgrade" aka 5 dire avengers for 60 points just so you can get moar av12 wave serpents with... scatter lasers! The DAVU also make the serpents scoring, so you can claim objectives with your air force. Here is an example of what I mean There are other variations of the list, but that one is pretty typical in style. Basically max out on fire dragons and heavy support. Maybe an Autarch to help with reserves against armies like Guard and Grey Knights if you don't get first turn, farseer for psychic support and defense, and then as many DAVU serpents as you can fit. Eldar can do other builds, but they generally aren't as competitive. Even using that build, Eldar are still a middling army in the top levels of competition. Thats not to say that the army is bad. The codex still holds up really well for its age, and can compete quite well even today. I'm sure after we get our dex updated the mon-keigh will once again tremble in their boots.

Go with Space Wolves. You'll need about 12-15 ML devastators(can be a pain), 30-40 greyhunters(or regular marines to save money), and ~5 Rhinos/Razorbacks(dont glue down the back hatch so you can interchange them).
Wolfguards with combi-meltas can be a pain to get becuz combi-meltas are so expensive.

Indeed.
Space Wolves are fun and they are good meched up at some range and also can be good in CC. Long Fangs are too cheaply priced in the game for what they can do, so you'd want a lot of them (which ironically means you are going to spend money finding MLs.... hunter killer missiles from Rhinos can be used to keep costs down). Also, to save money, you could use a mix of Assault on Black Reach marines and SW marines, with the AoBR ones given some wolf tails and other bits to make them fit in better.

Looking through my Tactica or tracking down some of Dashofpepper's posts should give you more than a double handful of thoughts on DE.
DE have multiple competitive builds - Venomspam, Raiderspam, Wyches, Kabal, all work in varying degrees.
For my money (and I think Dash's too, considering how his list changed) Kabal is the most competitive build right at the moment - some variety of a shooting army fielding multiple Venoms and Raiders.
