Yes I am starting another P&M log. I know...I know, but this one is for my return to Fantasy!

So where do I begin?
Well, I've always liked the evil ruthless armies in any of the games I've played. It just never seemed fun to play the "good guy". Yeah they might "seem" better or in a better morale standing but I always loved the idea of the sneaky evil character that sets traps, hides in the shadows and stabs everyone's favorite hero in the back.

So naturally I gravitated to the Skaven. Ruthless? Yes. Evil? Yes. Stabbing people in the back? Yes. BUT my first true Fantasy army was a very large Night Goblin army (I had a smaller army of Chaos Warriors or Hordes of Chaos as they were known when I first entered the GW hobby scene) that I collected when the last edition was released. I loved the idea of the army but painting almost 300+ models in black and green seemed way too much of a chore for me and at the time most of the armies I had were black so they went into the box of bad ideas to collect dust. I had really wanted to begin a Skaven army but at the time I decided to go 40k heavy and left Fantasy for a while.

Fast forward to this past year and the release of the Island of Blood boxed game (and the Skaven release before that) that included Skaven, and lots of them had made me very excited. Time and money passed by and I never got a chance to acquire the set. A few days ago I had posted on the Swap Shop here and got to talking with a fellow user by the name of JustPlainJim and we agreed to swap armies, I would send him my AoBR Orks for his IoB Skaven. Perfect!

2 days later I get this...

And like a child on Christmas day I eagerly rip open the box to find the contents....

Everything is there and I couldn't be more happy! I absolutely love the amount of detail they've put into these figures from the ,even down to the lowly Clanrats. I intend on using some spare cavalry bases to make the movement phase easier on me with these guys (every rank after command will be 2 Cav bases and 1 single base for every unit of 20 or more). I cannot wait to put everything together and begin collecting my Skaven horde. I'll hopefully have some more pics of some of them assembled later tonight, once I wash them with some warm soapy water.

Thanks for looking!

P.S. I currently have my Night Goblin army up for sale and if your at all interested send me a PM. I also have some 40k stuff up as well HERE
