I am playing in a local tourney as a backup incase of uneven number of players on the 1:st and 2:nd of October

This is my first competitive OnG list, Enjoy

Goblin great shaman on arachnarok w/catchweb shrine and Talisman of preservation, 520p he will wander behind the NG blocks providing magic support and the channeling buff.

Heroes
Black orc big boss w/shield, armour of destiny. 140p goes with black orcs and is te general
Ng big boss w/ basha's axe of stunty smashin', LA, shield, 84p goes with one NG spear block
Ng BsB w/spider banner, LA, Shield, short bow, 146p goes with archer block for the poisonus arrows (wich combined with gift of the spider god buff spell is sick)
Ng shaman w/dispel scroll, 75p one NG spear block
Ng shaman w/ruby ring of rhuin, 75p other NG spear block

Core
40NG w/short bows, musician, standard, 3fanatics, 225p wanders between the spear blocks
40x2 NG w/spears, fc, netts, 3fanatics, 540p flanks bow block

Special
30black orcs w/fc, Razor standard, 440p heavy hitter
spear chukka 35p, points filler

Rare
Mangler squigsx2 130p

so any thoughts? Main plan is to march on and laugh when i start releasing fanatics. The ng shamans stay within the Arachnaroks range for the 4+channel
I cannot decide wether to go 6by 5 on the black orcs for staying power or horde them :/ we are not allowed to have a infantry sized block bigger than 40models btw

I reckon horde the black orcs, because with that many hits, chances are your not gonna run.

I like running 40 black orcs (with gringore is just plain wrong) they waste units in horde formation, 40 hating s5 Armour piercing ws5 attacks is not funny to be on the receiving end of

Idk how most feel about it but personally the arachnorok is meh I find, it great until you get to it's strength value and the base size it's just too much glass not enough cannon for me personally

Idk how bent you are on the bsb build but personally I've come to really like enchanted shield dawnstone n sword of might, gives him some real kick. Or there's always enchanted shield +tali of pres for a more efficient Armour of destiny

The tali of pres is reserved for the arachnarok, i only have 30black orcs and can't get more for a while and the bsb build is because the most shots will hit on 5+ and to have poisoned 5+ is sick

Are you sure that poisoned banner works for shooting? Because i dont think it does. And why are you giving archers fanatics??

It doesn't say it dont because they walk with the spears

According to the BRB on pg 73, "Unless otherwise stated, a model with this special rule has both Poisoned shooting and close combat attacks."

I am considering dropping the arachnarok for a Wyvern lord.

Pros: Cheaper, 18'' ld9 bubble, can become a cc monster.
Cons: no 4+to channel, less magic might

If i do this swap and arm the lord with enchanted shield, tali of pres and sword of strife giving him a 3+ armour save (2+if i make him a Borc) and a 4+ward save and +2attacks (giving him 6attacks att s6 in first round of combat). This will make him alone a powerhouse and on top of that we have his mount Helblaka (meaning Deathscales in the old language from the Eragon series) wich is a wyvern.

This will free up 155p or 110p (if Borc) that i can use to make my wizards lvl2 leaving 85/40 points i don't know what to spend on (perhaps a potion for the wyvern?)

What is dakkas opinion?
