Hey there ladies and gents! Hope all is well.

So, I just finished converting all of my GW and P3 paints over to dropper bottles, but now I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I don't want to waste the 50 or so paint pots I now have, but I don't know what I can really use them for... I've taken about a half dozen of them and set them up with bluetack to be a handle to place minis on while painting, but I'm not sure what to do with the rest.

I'd hate to throw them away, so do you guys have any thoughts? Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

Ryan

You could use them for blended colours, or make a scenery piece out of them?

Holding other things like the beads from carbon water filters (used to make rivets) or self-ground (out of artists' pastels) weathering powders, Tamyia acrylic paint thinner when you don't want to take the whole bottle...

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

i wish i had that many i would be pumping out killa kans faster than a waaagh made of only meks

How many Space Marines does it take to screw in a lightbulb.

6, 1 techpriest and 5 tacticals that stand around trying to pose like badasses.

An Ork, Space Marine and Eldar are walking down the road. They see a Chaos portal that has a sign on it. It says: 'say what is true or be sucked in'. The Space Marine says: "I think I'm the bravest" and walks past safely, the Eldar says: "I think I'm the most agile" and walks past safely. The Ork says: "Me thinks..." and gets sucked into the portal.

I was going to suggest turning them into some kind of storage crate or if you just use lids you could have them as hatchs for buildings or tanks. But if you do collect orks and dont do what chowderhead suggested you'd be pretty mad.

If you don't collect orks, and don't start collecting orks, and don't make a maxed out Killa Kan army, I reckon you are still pretty mad. . .

KANS FTW!

Hmm just out of interest can someone explain these paint pot kans to me. Because it has occured to me that i'm endorcing an idea of which i know feth all about. I know that killa kans are piloted by grots but wouldnt a paint pot be a little small? Or is that the whole point? To create an amusing, yet still effective and far cheaper alternative.

And how would one go about making paint pots into kans?? I mean is it just a matter of tacking some weapons on the side and painting them approriately?

I'm not sure a Citadel paint pot is big enough. It could give cover and line of sight advantages.

Boring suggestion, but I use mine to hold varnish, future, gesso mixes, homemade washes, stuff like that. I disliked them as paint pots but they're lovely for holding something cheaper that you don't mind losing a bit of to drying.

They could be used for anything really. Like everyone else has said make scenery out of them or use them to mix two paint together. All sorts of things

Well, I don't play Orks exactly, but I'm thinking of starting them... So, I suppose I will be making 30+ Kans...

Anyone have a source for Ork bits they can suggest?
