The problem is that you've created a super land raider and thought that by adding this 'ragnarok' rule, it would all balance out. But in the end, with a little bit of thought, you could easily turn 'ragnarok' to your advantage. I wouldn't put it anywhere near my army, and just drive it as fast possible at the enemy, shooting the 36" S8 AP1 super gun of death. Then if the enemy blows it up, hopefully I take out more vehicles.

So really, not only is the rule kinda silly, but it actually makes the tank better if played right. Also, assault cannons are S6, not 7. And if this is some kind of Grey Knight tank, don't auto-include psy-ammo.

All Land Raiders are AV14 all around.

I don't know what to think of Korvus, because he's expensive, yet provides a bonus that could be handy. Honestly, I think he does too much, even for his 100pts tag. Cronus is 50pts and only gives a BS boost, so I don't quite see the point other than you wanting to make your tank even better.

Without the Ragnarok rule, I would say this thing is worth 275-300pts. With the ragnarok rule, I'd price it at an even 300pts. Its a bit of a liability, but I'd take the risk and force my opponent to react.

I'd only make the rule work if it was wrecked, exploded, or rolled a one for its overheat, not immobilized.

*EDIT* In short, I wouldn't play against that tank. As loyalists, we already have six variants to choose from if we include FW stuff. I just don't think it adds anything or can really be justified by fluff. *Shrugs* but that's just me.

What is the fluff behind the Ragnarok special rule? Land Raiders and all vehicles of the Astartes and Imperium are venerated machines, and to lose one to such minor damage as immobilisation (minor by fluff standards, not game; there's nothing to stop a thunderhawk reclaiming it) would be a terrible blow.

Even losing a Land Raider normally is a crippling blow, there is absolutely no reason why they would endanger the lives of the occupants or the surrounding allies and risk losing yet more by rigging it to violently explode, or otherwise.

Also, why is the Rear only 13? It's a pretty poor attempt at balance if it's purposeful, or an error if it's not.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

its an error.
The LR demise is very powerful, but to charge up the demise cannon it needs loads of power, so theres no transport capacity

Ya im in favour of the customization, but the D3 PER MODEL is way over powered
With this id change the range of the front gun to 24" and reduce the assault cannons to normal
No opinion on the Sarge

Ya, I play Crons, what about it?
Also, they are just shiny space zombies with guns.

Also, just plain remove the "I Know This Place" rule. It's incredibly overpowered.

Dirty Harry wrote:I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
