Aright I know that Ard'Boys is well and over, But there been something that been bugging me since then and I just wants to get some opinions,

In the 2nd missions, there Was no outflank special rule, But I was using Al'ream in the IG codex Witch states that I MUST Enter using outflank, No I brought this to the TO, and he said No can Do come in Via reserves,,,, Now I did what he asked And it was a draw, I had no hope of winning the turn but It was something that has bugged the crap out of me, I just wanted to know what other think about this.

The TO has the final say in all tournaments.

I think his ruling was just fine, since the mission said no outflank.

Yup, if that was the call for the event, then that's how it works for that event.

Having said that, it's something that TO's should consider when setting up non-standard missions. Arbitrarily removing special rules can have an unexpected affect on armies that rely on that special rule as standard, so this should (IMO) be done sparingly, unless you're willing to make exceptions for those armies.


For myself, I would have ruled that Alrahem's rule takes precedence, just as I would still allow Chaos Daemons to stay in Reserve in missions that otherwise don't allow it.

Jut so everyone knows this was the Ard'bos turny, So it thwas the mission that was giving to Every Store that was hosting it.

Looking at the rules package, it doesn't say that nobody can outflank, it just doesn't list it as a special rule for that mission.

So yeah, I would personally still be in favour of allowing units that must outflank to outflank in that situation.

But again, on the day it's the TO's call.
