Well hard to really work one in at 1k. Couple problems I see. Boyz mobs should have a nob with PK and boss pole. 20 gretchin is a bit overkill at this level and you can save 13 points for effectively the same thing by cutting one gretchin allowing you to only need 1 runtherder. Each unit of kans should all use 1 weapon type and big shootas are a waste on them, go rokkits and if you have enough anti tank think about having a unit go grotzookas and if you face a lot of terminator or FnP armies maybe some KMB. Since you are packing 6 kanz you can also get away with 1 KFF. At 1k you would be better off running something like:

I agree with most of what Hargus said. But i am not sold on his list. I don't see why you need so many boys in a small game like this. If its done right you will be getting 4+ cover saves always for your boys. If not well you still have a 5+ always anyways. I don't like gretchin I think they are a complete waste of points. Here is something I have run and did pretty well.

Now with this list you can split the kans into 3 squads of 2 or 2 squad of 3. Its really your choice. The same can be done with the Lootas too. If you wantr 2 squads of 5 then you can do that too. The EA on the Meks is just having 10 points left and really nothing to do with it.
