If I'm understanding Sgt. Telion's special rule correctly, he still has to follow normal wound allocation rules-the difference is that the shooting player allocates his wounds rather than the targeted player. Normal wound allocation rules means that he allocates his wounds simultaneously with the rest of his squad, those wounds still being assigned by the targeted player.

So who allocated first? Imagine this situation-Telion and scouts shoot at a 5 man terminator squad, one of whom has an assault cannon. Telion rolls one rending wound, and the scouts do 3 normal wounds. Can the targeted player assign one of the normal wounds to the assault cannon, keeping Telion's player from putting the rending wound on him? Or does Telion's player get to assign first, letting him put the wound where he likes?

The player controlling Telion gets to allocate those wounds first, i'll see if I can find the rules for that (I think it's in the FAQ)

Even if it isn't it only makes sense. Tellion raises his rifle as he whispers "I'll take out the big guy, the rest of you aim for scrubs".

Actually that makes no sense since the purpose of any sniper is to remove high value targets. Scrubs don't qualify for that.

You are right. Silly me for thinking the guy that hits on a 2+ isn't a good enough shot to identify and shoot the big guy on his own while telling his campadres to shoot the other ones.

You do realize this is a game and real life and purpose has no bearing on the table don't you?

You were the one inferring reality here.

And you said that it makes sense for a sniper to hit the high value target - Telion is the sniper in this case. Are you violently agreeing?

No, my point was snipers wouldn't target scrubs.

... and? Telion is the sniper. He's shooting the big guy, as BGN noted.

Nevermind.

Oh lord...... Please read the initial post at least once. As Tellion has a higher BS and can choose who his target is he gets precedence over which model is hit when he shoots. Then the owning player of the targetted unit gets to allocate any other wounds to the remainder of the squad

The regular Scouts might in fact target scrubs if the objective is to pin the unit.

Did you ever find the rules on this? I didn't see them in the faq.

That's because they're not in the FAQ, they're in the codex.

The OP summarized the rule very well. Wounds caused by Telion's attacks are allocated by the controlling player.
