Can you get will be back from breath of chaos and/or winds of chaos if there is no res orb near by just wanted to know for reference.

We'll be back is not usable when you are wounded by something that never allows armor saves. Do those abilities ever allow armor saves?

no your get no amour or cover saves from them.

A good rule of thumb is if you don't get FNP, you don't get WBB. If it never allows armor saves (which breath doesn't), then you don't get either. Obviously you are aware of the exception having to do with the res orb.

INCORRECT.

WBB is denied from shooting attacks when the shooting attack causes Instant Death. In close combat you are denied WBB if the attack causes ID or doesnt allow armour saves.

SO you would get WBB from Breath / Wind of Chaos

You don't get WBB from AP1 either iirc.

WBB works on anything but 'a close combat weapon that allows no armour save or any weapon whose strength is twice the toughness of the necron concerned.' Necron Codex, PG 13

AP 1 and AP 2 are WBBable. It isn't FNP. Sometimes i wish it was, but hey..

OP It is "We'll be back" not Will be back, but I digress. It works on anything but a close combat weapon that allows no armour save or any weapon that is Str double Tough of the necron concerned.

Not so much it's a chore, as it comes up about once a week, and everyone always weighs in that it's FNP, which it isn't.

You mean S8, necrons are T4. Heat Lance to name one. S6 AP1

The Dooms weapon, if he has 7 or lfewer wounds when firing it.

Flash Gits rolling lucky on the AP are S 5 or 6, depending on the upgrades, i think.
