The Gaze of Death ability for The Nightbringer states that the large blast causes a S4 AP2 Hit in the army builder file but I don't see any support in the Codex or FAQs for the AP2 aspect of the ability. Am I missing something or is this an AB bug?

This is why AB is NOT a replacement for the codex.
Codex always trumps AB.
If there is a conflict between AB and the codex, the codex wins.

It could be an AB solution. The Gaze of Death causes any models under it to be hit automatically. They take a S4 hit with no armor save. Since there is no 1+ armor save, there would be no armor save against an AP2 weapon.
But AB should say that it inflicts S4 hits with no armor save instead of an AP2 hit.
I just checked and see that this has been reported to the Army Builder maintainers as a possible bug, so there should be some kind of answer coming from them.

Calm down. Just checking to see if there is something I am missing as I do have the first edition of the book. There was a ghost re-write and I just wanted to double check. Considering the Codex is 10 years old I figured all the bugs would have been hammered out by now. Guess not. Automatically Appended Next Post: time wizard wrote:It could be an AB solution. I am the one that reported it. I guess it really doesn't matter because we were basically concerned with it not effecting units with feel no pain. However, the negating of armor saves ignores Feel No Pain anyway.

I was calm.
In 10 years, they probably had NO necron players notice it.
Not like you are space marine players, is it?
