I was wondering if Kommander Strakhov is any good and what type of list is best run with him? I'm preparing for week 4 in my journeyman league and I was considering making him my caster swap. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

He is really good. Run him with a heavy melee list, and lots of cloud effects. Gorman is good with him and so are greylords. Run maybe 1 jack like torch or beast 09 and then a lot of heavy infantry like iron fangs and the like.

I would run 2 jacks with him to get over run on the other for a bit of movement shenanigans. He is decent as Scavenger said, combined arms caster with strong assassination theme to his lists.

I normally run him with Beast and a Kodiak. Both can run without focus so he can operate without having to feed off focus while he gets upkeeps set up and everything into position.

I normally do a WGDS and either IFP or Doomies as his infantry support with manhunters and Yuri for flavor.

Strakhov and the Spriggan go together like America and apple pie.

The simple reason is bulldoze+reach+Strakhov's movement and MAT-boosting spells and feat.

When you put it all together, Strakhov can fling a 3-focus Spriggan something like 19" on an assassination run that pushes models out of the way.

It's not the only thing he can do, but it's one of the more powerful combos in his arsenal.
