Mutated Chosen Chaos Marine

Sitting in yo' bath tub, poopin out shoggoths

I know how dumb the title seems, but I was just thinking....

Khorne kills for blood and skulls

Nurgle Kills with disease and rot

but slaanesh and tzeentch....what do they kill for?

Killing for ecstacy/pleasure (slaanesh) maybe...

It just seems like tzeentch and slaanesh would be not as violent. (still not friendly though)

Can someone explain why exactly they kill. Seems more beneficial if they converted them to chaos. I.E....Less violent tactics

Because they are The Bad Guys and they do bad things. It's a lot more cartoonishly evil to cut off your enemy's head and tell all his buddies to play along or share the same fate than to knock on their door and ask them if they have a moment to speak about The Lord (of Change)

I never said that they would just walk down the street asking people to read the book of lorgar and come see them at church sometime.

With Tzeentche I always viewed death as a biproduct. Wars produce mistrust, scheming and subterfuge, things that Tzeentche lives off of. Tzeentche just likes to play with people's fate and whether they die or live.

Slaanesh marines are killing for kicks, especially because for many of them it's the only thing that gets them to feel anything at all. Tzeentch marines (or more accurately, Sorcerers) are generally chasing knowledge or relics of some description, and the enemy is usually in the way.

And of course the more they kill, the better their chances of becoming a big scary Daemon Prince get.

Depends on the Chaos Marine.

Some Slaanesh worshippers kill in combat so as to ultimately perfect their skills with their blade or other weapon of choice, Slaanesh is also a god of perfection. Some fight for the pain it brings them, getting high of their pain. Some kill because they want to make art from your bowels, fecal matter, blood, and other bodily fluids and organs.

For Tzeentch it can be for the pursuit of knowledge, destroying a Librarium for the knowledge it holds within. Or it could possibly be for the lulz. Since that's kind of what Tzeentch does, feth gak up with scheming and plotting for the lulz.

Tzeentch wants souls for power.

Slaanesh wants souls and bodies for crazy drugs and rituals.

Tzeench is like that controlling ex girlfriend/wife. Tzeench wants to control you, and if Tzeentch can't then nobody else can...

Victory is not the most important outcome. Enjoyment and excitement is the best outcome, victory is sweeter when it was fun.

As a chaos player, I belive I can say that there are some worlds that worship the chaos gods, and these cults are psycho killers.

A cult that worships Nurgle, for example, might be following him because they fear death. A cult that worships Slaanesh may be because they are perfectionists. It doesn't mean they have to go out and kill everyone because of it.

Now, the marines on the other hand, they are killing machines, so to kill for the chaos gods, thats just in their nature, they have to kill.

EDIT: Khorne is insane.

It should be noted that the chaos does not really just go forth and kill things. The more human cultists will worship their deity through acts that enhance that deity, hence Slanesh cults tend to have lots of sex.

Chaos Space Marines are a different story. These are people who before becoming corrupt lived to fight and kill the emperors enemies. They lived extremely pent up and repressed lives. When exposed to the emotional excess of chaos, they try and express that in the only way they know how, in killing things. They don't kill for slanesh because killing pleases him, but because that is the only way they can express their worship.

Being a good bad guy is like being a photographer, you have to wait for the right moment.

Most of them need more hugs.

Whenever my Sisters of the Flame capture a Chaos Marine, they restrain him securely and take turns giving him lots of comfy hugs and headrubs, while telling him of all the nicer ways to gain power, until they learn to enjoy the huggles and acquiesce to the luffles. Having a telepath for a leader also helps, because they can know for sure when the Chaos Marines have lost their desire to kill kill kill till there's nothing left to kill. And then they let the rehabilitated Marine down, and he often joins the ranks of the Hellfire Astartes.

Slaanesh marines kill because it's fun. They take pleasure from the screams and blood splatter and general sights and sounds of battle. And the Chaos gods feed off the war's energy whether they win or lose.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Tzeentch kills because the transition from life to death is the most profound and Tzeentch is intrigued by it.

Slannesh's followers kill in an attempts for martial perfection and all the "wonderful" things you can do to a body while killing it. Its the persuit of perfection in all things. you can bet there is some little corner of Slannesh's palace which is devoted to perfecting your vocal talents, a place for perfecting your painting skills, and so on.

Alright, those all sound like good reasons they would kill lol, I just wasn't 100% on what their motives were. Than again, their chaos....they don't really need motives.

Because killing is what a spacemarine does. Their loyalist brethren fight and kill for the corpsegod while the so called traitor marines fight and kill for their new masters.
