I've heard from several places/people that vehicles that fall under Fast Attack on the FO chart, such as Hellhounds, are able to fire all weapons regardless of how far they move in their turn. I can't find anything in the rules about this, but I'm notoriously bad at finding stuff in that book, so I'm asking here.

You can't find anything in the rules because it isn't there. "Fast" vehicles (not necessarily Fast Attack) can move up to 6" and fire all weapons, beyond 6" you start losing shots.

You have been advised wrong. "Fast" vehicles may move up to 6" and fire all their weapons, but FO Chart has nothing to do with the ability to fire.

Fast Attack slot in the army codex is no indication of anything. It's just a convention for keeping certain units to certain numbers, by making sure you can't have too many or have to give up another Fast Attack slot for them.

Ah alright, either I understood what they said wrong or they understood the rule wrong.

I'm assuming 'Fast' is a special rule, in which case do Hellhounds have it? Those seem to be the main offenders, IG players who do 12" moves and then fire all weapons on the HH-family of tanks.

Fast attack vehicles cannot fire all weapons regardless of movement. Every vehicle falls into its own rule set. Such as Fast vehicles can fire all weapons at combat speed or one main weapon and all defensive at cruising speed. Just look in the Rule book in the part about moving and shooting vehicles. There is also a chart at the back of the book to look up what you can shoot depending on how far you moved.

Hellhounds do have the Fast rule, and so they can move 12" and fire their main gun, plus any defensive weapons (Str. 4 or less), so I guess it comes down to what they're kitted out with.

If theyre using the chem hound, then you can move 12" and fire everything - the main weapon is defensive, and you have one other main weapon you can fire (flamer, etc)

The hell hound variant called the bane wolf has a strength 1 weapon that wounds on a 2+. Since it is s1 it can fire as long as you can fire weapons. If you move 12 you can fire the hull weapon plus the turret weapon since it is defensive. If you move 13 inches you are moving all out and cannot fire anything
