Arlight, heres a noob one.

If I have a blobbed infantry platoon of 2 squads 1 PCS and 3 HWSs, what are the cohesion rules for each squad and also pertaining to the PCS and HWSs? Do all squads have to be close or can they move independently or far from each other?

You can only join Infantry Squads of the same platoon to each other. PCS and HWS are separate units that cannot join others. Those non joined units can be anywhere on the table (or off it).

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

Firstly: you can only "blob" infantry squads. Entirely covered in the rules.

So the PCS and HWS are not part of hte Infantry Squad Blob.

Lstly, the Infantry squad is a single unit -so must remain within coherency of other members of the unit

Every squad is a separate unit and only has to maintain coherency with the models in it's unit, they do not have to maintain coherency with any other units in the platoon. The blob rule alters this only for the blobbed Infantry Squads, making 2-5 squads into a single unit.
