Hello dakka, I was wondering if experianced BA players would be able to help me out with the stratagy to winning with this army list i am using in my new BA army. Im just looking for tactics such as what each units job is primarily if they have one, at the current moment i just rush out and hit the front lines with everything, which works just in my mind i think there is probably more strategic ways of assaulting

Which armies are you facing? Interesting tactics against the right enemy:

Try keeping your troops in your tanks. 4 meltaguns and a couple of powerfists will not change the course of battle. Whereas keeping scoring units alive and limiting infantry targets can help you.

Also try staying back. Do not worry about getting in plasma range and let your lascannons have a go with your Baals outflanking.

Consider not deploying any units and reserve everything especially if going second against big guns. It means your tanks can get in the first round of firing, this is important as you are limited in targets and walking assault marines is not fun. As your tanks are fast or have spirit they can move 6'' from the back and still shoot all or most of their guns and even the few units you have on in the second turn will make a difference.

I agree, you should hang back and try to kill all your opponent's vehicles, especially anything that threatens those Land Raiders. Ideally, you can then concentrate all of your remaining forces on a portion of the enemy's, and then repeat the process.

Dark Eldar are probably going to give you a rough time though, which is the price one pays when one takes Land Raiders.

I would imagine Storm Raven dropping off Blood Talon Furiosos while the Raven goes to multi melta some tank.
