How do.
So spinning off from the thread where yet another radical preacher has been slotted (I know, shame eh?)....
I notice that the Interwebs seems to play a central role (or is at least accused thereof) of 'radicalising' young Muslims. Yet we are told time and again (quite correctly) that Islam is in fact a religion of peace, with teachings no more archaic and confusing than any other (seriously, read yer Bible! Rape victims, according to some tracts, can either marry the rapist, or be stoned to death!)
So why no televised debate, between your average run of the mill Imam, and the radical nutters. Let the public see the radicals being shredded in their own arena. Show up their selfish interpretations of text?
I know there is an inherent danger, but the potential benefits are enormous. Ditto those like Westboro. Get them on a televised debate, and see their mindless hate mongering ripped apart and exposed for the outright bigotry we know it to be.
