Deadly Dire Avenger

Well I would drop a Wraithlord for an autarch with a jump pack, Mandiblasters and a fusion pistol it will double the effectiveness of the spiders with the fusion pistol making up for the lost lance
also the autarch gives +1 to reserve rolls bringing the spiders out quicker big fun all round
(I would swap out the Avatar but i have no exp with them)
And personally i prefer a squad of 10 avengers with exarch with dire sword, bladedstorm and defend in place of two of the guardian squads
Otherwise it looks rock solid
(edit: as long as your warlock is upgraded to a spiritseer)

... Dropping the avatar for an autarch in a foot guardian list... Replacing 2 of guadian squads for a cc DA squad... Moving along...
This list should do good, I'd just advise agaist researve/outflanking your walkers if you are planning to do so. You'll need all the firepower you can get out the gate.

Your biggest issue is going to be anything with a lots of templates, you avatar getting downed, or just GK is general. Harlies and scorps can be nasty in CC but sadly most of the GK dex can crush them in CC. On the templates, you have a lot of wounds to burn through, but if something barrage is on the other side of the table like Nightspinners then it'll be a painful day.
#1 danger is the Avatar through,if he goes down, the whole list goes down with him. Becareful not to get multiassualted with the Avatar and the guardians, your opponent will slaughter the guardians to force a pile of NoRetreat wounds on the avatar.

along with everything dagger said is your going to have hell against heavy armor SL will have a head time slowing preads and anything front armor 13 they are usless gainst raiders and monoliths you will need conceal for your gaurdians they will die in droves as their armor is weak. you might want to get some more heavy weapons to give yourself some more punch against tanks

I think the list looks pretty solid (for footdar).
You may want to switch one of those guardian squads to an EML. That gives you the flexibility to shoot at AV 12+ if needed.
I also strongly suggest you drop the Scorpion's Claw to get a Biting Blade. The Biting Blade isn't a PW (it's biggest drawback), but it typically hits at equivalent S to the Claw and often times more. It also strikes at I6 rather than I1. This makes a huge difference. Scorpions are still only T3, so you need to minimize the number of return attacks if you want to win the combat. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, I'll also suggest you give that Warlock Embolden, so that Eldrad can sit in his squad and get re-rolls on any powers. A failed casting of Fortune on the Avatar means you loose the game.

Eldrad already has Runes of Witnessing. He comes with all farseer gear and powers. I never use embolden and have only failed maybe 5 psychic test out of too many to be counted

Yes, but if you're playing against Eldar or Nids, you're testing on 2D6 again, which makes Embolden very helpful.

I suggested conceal in a PM for the castling benefit. Since all of the Guardians are fearless from the Avatar you can use the conceal squad to conga line out in front. That obscures the Guardians behind, and everybody gets a cover save! Hooray! Its all fun and games until the ordinance barrage comes along... oh dear. Anyway, embolden is nice but you've still got around a 92% chance of casting with witnessing, and you've got 2 tries anyway since Eldrad gets 3 powers. That fortune is still almost guaranteed to go off on the Avvy without disrupting the War Walker's guide.
