Will be playing my first real tornament soon hopefully and trying to make myself a good list. So been looking around and going through the codex an extra time and this is what I come up with.

HQ

I don't like your CCS. You have them in a Chimera but your not moving. You have to remember that any shot that makes the Chimera blow up will pretty much destroy every one in it... and any hits in close combat are auto hits on the rear armor... so your really not protecting the CCS by putting them in a Chimera. You have two routes... drop the Chimera or drop the stuff that makes you not want to move (MoO and LC) and get all plasma or melta guns.

I will point out you have 3 troops advancing and they are super expensive. I figure your in love with the Demo Charge, but you really do not have the points for it...

LRBT squadron... I don't like Squadrons because of the rules and the inability to split fire. Really, there is no difference between a squadron and a normal infantry unit. Besides, one LRBT is 5pts cheaper than a Melta Vet squad in a chimera.

If your gonna do Mech, you need to /do/ mech.

Extra Armor

I had a 5th Melta vet squad but ended up 100pts over, so dropping them gave me 55pts to play with. Upgraded the AC to a LC, gave you a OotF, and the extra armor. I honestly considered swapping the OotF for Camo Netting on the Manticore. Up to you if you don't like the OotF or because you don't think you will face alot of Reserve lists.

Ok I can se what you mean and you make a good point.
The Demopacks were simply a love for blasts but 1shot and risk for blowing up myself for 30p is maby a little expensive for a 1750p match.

The LRBT squadron were mostly a chooice since I would like some more ranged blasts (they have -1S and cost 25p more than basilisk but have higher surviveability), but then I realised that a deep strike suicide unit will most likely take them both out.

The OotF is a great addon and the only real problem is that I need to buy 3more chimeras

My only thought is if the Extra Armor for the Manticore is needed? and if changing it to a camo netting by switching one of the Demolishers for a Battle Tank to add some extra range?

No, the extra armor is not needed at all, but I felt it was the best use of those points. Giving guys bolters or melta bombs that don't really do anything meant those points also didn't do anything.

You could drop a Demolisher to get the Netting to make that Manticore much more survivable. But I will offer you this. If you were sitting across from your list and wanted to kill a tank, which one would you shoot first? Probably the Demolisher because you consider it more dangerous that the regular LRBT. Same thing goes with having something like one Vendetta, Land Raider, Battle Wagon, ect... two means one may survive long enough to do some damage.

If your happy with LRBTs, I would suggest drop both down to LRBTs and give the Manticore Netting AND the extra armor.

Well for the remaining 15p extra armor is a good pick.

You make a good argument. Think I will go ahead and use the list with your alteration for some battle tests and se how it feels.
