I was discussing with my gaming group whether or not it was a good idea to invest in getting the FW Chaos Drop Pods. I've never had the chance to review the rules for them. But they would be pretty fun to field for my growing Night Lords force. I have the FW Night Lords Dreadnought and using their Legion markings on transports. But are the pods going to be more for show than for sport? I know I can use them in friendly games with my group but not necessarily in official tourneys. What do you guys think? Should I invest in them or forget them?

THey are amazing models (even if getting the claws to slide and lock in an extended position is a pain, rmember youre assembling 4 sides with 4 claws.....) and the rules are "oK"

For the LATEST rules see IA:Apoc 2nd edition. They dont have drop pod assault, and you can no longer assault the turn you land (lost disembark / embark as if open topped from IA5 and previous books) but they are still fairly decent
