Okay, so we're trying to figure out how to play 40k using our AoBR starter set before we use our real armies (mostly build: me with Spacewolves her with DoABA). One of the questions that came up was about power weapons. If the ork warboss has 4 attacks and he has a powerclaw on do all of those attacks work like a powerclaw? aka does all of his attacks ignore saves? Or is it just one attack out of the four?
Thanks for your time! We are trying to learn a bit at a time. Also, if anyone knows a good video of how to play let me know! Preferably one that looks at the stats and how the work!

Power klaw uses the rules of power fists, not power weapons. And the all attacks of model with the special weapon uses the bonuses and penalties of the weapon.
Powerklaws strike at I 1 though, so everyone else will get to beat on you first, not that that's anything new for orks
You also don't get to add an additional attack for having an extra close combat weapon (such as a slugga) to a powerklaw. They DO strike at double your strength though, and ignore armour, which means they will tear holes in most things.
Expect to lose if you're playing the orks from AOBR. GW stiffed you about 150 pts. The Marine force is superior in points, and in weapon loadout.
I'd suggest buying the codex for each of your armies, and playing a few low-points games, proxying in other things to represent models as needed, until you expand your force a bit
The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

I got stomped a LOT but I actually won a game when we took the dreadnot out even though I'm still 20pts behind.
I always made him attack last but he was with a buncha boyz so it didnt really matter.
Mine is vicious in-game , when i can convince her to play.
Her DE do nasty nasty things to my orks and Crons, and her light-side eldar aren't much less malevolent
She doesn't deal well with being beaten though, but i have a comfy couch

If you don't know already the armies in the AoBR set are not equal. The ork army is at a disadvantage.
My piece of advice is to read through the rulebook several times until you have a solid grasp of the rules. Keep it in the bathroom and read it while on the toilet

That's basically the way to do it if you want a 'fair' matchup. Take the Dreadnought out, and the forces are about even. Or buy yourself something extra to add to your forces.
Killa Kanz are awesome, and come in boxes of three.

That would work except for I'm playing space wolves when I actually learn. We originally bought the box cause I thought I'd like the orks but I really liked space wolves. My fiance ended up making blood angels so we're just using AoBR to learn how to play again haha.
As for the rulebook being there, I have been using it but it's not really the easiest to navigate and I cant always find all the answers I need. Plus a visual instruction is better for my learning style. I cant wait to check out those vids! thanks!
Nice Nice, best thing about the box in this case then is the Mini Rulebook, all the rules none of the fluff.
Learning with someone else is truly a great way to learn, I learned with people who've been playing for a while so I had to go through games and games of whoopins
