Subject: Question about Callidus assassin

Hi guys
when the calidus pops up she does d6 s4 ap1 hits on an enemy unit , would I be right in saying theres no coiver save from this as it doesnt say its a shooting attack?

If the guy next to you were to shoot you in the face, would you get cover?

There is no cover, unless the cover is directly between the model and the assassin, AKA, Sandbags between the warboss and the assassin.

It does not say that it ignores cover saves and it is not close combat. Conceivably, cover could apply (say from Storm Caller).

Basically, this. Also, Ork Big Mek with KFF. Cover counts, but I doubt you'll run into a time when it will. Long story short, don't try to do it through a window.

sounds strikingly similar to the mawlocs non shooting (shooty) ability, which allows cover saves, say from area terrain, KFF, ETC

You would get cover from area terrain, however as you dont place the assassin until AFTER the shots are resolved, directional cover cannot apply

The way I've been playing it, I always give cover svs to my opponents if the targets are in/behind cover.
