I've been feeling in a converting-painting mood lately, and I've been looking for something to challenge me. Therefore, I've decided to take on the task of making a full Snakebite Waagh!. That being said, I'm pretty fond of Shoota Boyz, so I'm going to need some help with believability. Are they totally against change, like Feral Boyz, or are they backwards, but kinda modern, like the stereotypes of every US state below the Mason-Dixon line? Big Meks, Vehicles, Powerklaws? Help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure snakebites prefer to be choppy rather than shooty. I don't think they use many vehicles or big meks, powerklaws I think are okay though.....I can't for the life of me find my ork codex......it vanished....

Pks are fine, however vehicles are usually a no. However, since youre doing a converting army? Why not try converting something into a tank? For instance, boars instead of warbikes.
Codex says theyre heavily reliant of squigs and grots. Theyre also more choppy, as said below, but to be honest i dont think it matters, as long as you give your shoota boys bayonets, knives and the like.

I wouldn't say that a snakebite army can have any number of Powerklaws. I would properly only give one to my warboss and perhaps one more fore a especially prominent nob. The great difference between Feral orks and the Snakebite clan is the fact that the Snakebites do use vehicles; like the Battlewagon, looted wagon and Truck. I would only take a single vehicle and that would be a battlewagon and i would give it the Totem animal conversion; because the Snakebite redresses their vehicles to resemble a great animal. Doing a Snakebite army in my book excludes a lot of the options in the ork codex; like stormboyz, meganobz, painboyz (well perhaps if you made him like a witchdoktor), bikes, lootas, big meks, ardboyz, deffkoptas, buggies and wartrakks. But I think a snakebite army should have alot of gretchins, boyz, "Simply" armed nobz, lobbas and naturally a weirdboy. I gotta say that if the feral orks use a large portion of Huntas, then i couldn't see why snakebites wouldn't use shoota boyz also.

And it's not so much that Snakebites are Feral that use Vehicles, as that they're Feral that use metal.
Like how a hunter can use a rifle, but still be 'traditional' and 'respect nature'.
I'd say if you're doing any heavy supports, make them Squiggoths and such- if Stormboys, have them strapping big birds and pterodactyls to their backs (instead of the Rokkit blowing up, it's the Bird deciding to eat the Ork.) Boarboyz for Bikers, etc.

Ahhhh, I love you guys. So many ideas are floating through my head. Giant War-Squigs with huge logs in front for deff rolla's, those crossbows were a nice touch, and those ptero-boyz made me lol.

If you're going for Deff Rollas, look at the Southerling's Oliphaunts in Lord of the Rings for inspiration.

That is a good name for them. "Ptero-boyz". Sounds good!
