I live in Middletown and go to Quinnipiac. I am having a lot of trouble finding a store to play at where I don't have to drive a hour.

Think first.

I'm in Connecticut. The only places I know of that support 40K gaming are in Manchester, CT and Westfield, MA. Pretty sad that there isn't a GW Brick and Mortar store in-state.

I'll Be Back

CT

I am new, just started building my army. While I am building I have been doing a ton of research into where to game that is local.

"Your Friendly Neighborhood Tabletop Shop Hobbies, Games & Collectibles" in Newington, Ct is currently building Multiple tables and will be getting a GW account soon. They will be holding tournaments as well from what I am told.

Bobby's World of Cards and Comics in Middletown, Ct has a table and structures. The guy that owns the store is awesome and helpful. I plan on buying all my stuff from him as he will work with you and takes the time. On weekends people go in to build, paint, and play.

Flagship Comics & Games in Southington, Ct has multiple tables, structures and a regular crowd of people who play throughout the week.

and of course there is the Games Workshop in West Hartford, Ct that has a guy that sits there all day Saturday looking for pick up games. That's as far as I am willing to drive for now.

There are a few other stores I found that sell but do not play.

hopefully in 2 weeks I should have my army built and start learning the game, in the mean time I read the rules and lurk tactics section.

Hope this helps.

Maddening Mutant Boss of Chaos

Manchester CT, the Portal /Time Machine. Has a massive group on Fridays and they have league games, campaign as well as just pick up games. They are a great group of people, and players with the mindset/skill to play fun fluff list to have a blast, to the utmost competitive builds. They are mad cool, its free to play and use the tables, the leagues are free, and offer prize support from the store. Top notch, really well run place.
