Which army can you field the most dreads in a 1.5 - 2k list?

SM codex gets you three less but are more controllable due to the lack of rage. At least I think the DC dreads have rage, it's been a while since I've come across a BA opponent.
BA ones are definitely superior when it comes to melee though and are much faster.

You can field 6 non DC dreads and one DC dread per 5 DC infantry.

Yeah, Blood Angels DC dreads all have rage, and so run towards the closest enemy. Those are uncontrollable. You do get 3 additional dreads though in either Elite or Heavy, I can't remember. You can get up to 6 (I think? I don't have my codex in front of me). I did this back in the day with Furioso dreads. I will say right now running 6+ dreads is not a good way to win a game, though in my opinion is very fluffy for the Blood Angels chapter as you have all these warriors who live on to fight to the bitter end through the raw adamantium armour of what is an imperial dreadnaught. Kind of righteous if you ask me.

Ah okay. yeah I figured I wouldn't win much with BA and raging all over the place. I have a vanilla list that I have three in right now mostly for extra long range along with my all las brother chornos predator. Thinking of switching to the Wolves and taking Bjorn as a HQ.

Regular Space Marines can have six dreads as well. They can't field the Death Company dreads, but then again the vanilla dreads don't start the game berserk. It's a trade off.

No BEFORE you start adding DC dreads it's 6. 3 furioso 3 regular and 1 per every five DC. I'm completely unwilling to go on AB and make this list but 8 seems feasible in 2000pts
