Hi I know this sounds noobish and all but, can you combine the space marine codex's. I want to use grey knights, blood angels, space marines, and the space wolves all united under a single banner.

Change is everywhere. Regardless of whether or not the warp shows us. |

Hi welcome to Dakka.
I don't think that you'll be able to make a codex combining all of the best rules from 4 of the most competitive codexes in the game, as that would make for an uber codex of death.
However, what you could do is make a space marine army that would work in every codex, and then just use whichever codex you feel like using at the time. Although the army would be more competitive if you just picked a codex and made an army from it instead of trying to make a list that suits all of the different codexes, it could be fun.

Ok. Thanks for helping me, I guess I'll go with Blood angels since they have a nice melee and ranged.

Yeah, sounds good. I'm not a master on Blood Angels (or MeQs in general for that matter) so I think if you are looking for a competitive Blood Angels list it's probably best to ask some of the others here, as I can safely say that most of them have more knowledge on this subject than I do, although I here Descent of Angels is pretty good.
Glad it helped and good luck.

Well, I do have a question can the Damned Legionnaires join the Blood Angels since the Space Marines have so much in common with them or do they just go with Space Marines?

You are only allowed to use a single codex at a time, no exceptions. So if you want to take an army with Blood Angels rules, you can only use stuff from the Blood Angels codex, no matter how much something from a different codex seems to fit.
So, you can't take a Legion of the Damned. It really isn't much of a loss though, they're a terrible unit.

I believe from what I understand, the Witch Hunters codex states units that you can use from other codices. Space marines aslong as the names are the same within the newer codex. I am not 100% though, i'd need to check it and I don't have one myself

The WH codex was the last holdout with the Allies rule, although you had to have the paper codex; the free online one didn't have it.
However, they now have that new White Dwarf codex, which doesn't have the Allies rule.

Really? Wonder if they took out the FAQ rules in the IG section concerning the Whitch Hunters...
Eh... guess I don't care that much.
