Subject: Question about outflank and moving

My friend and I were playing and we were wondering what the right procedure for outflanking is. My friend says the 'moving in from the edge of the board' means your actual movement is expended getting on the board and so you come in right on the table edge. However, I'm almost certain you get to move in the standard 6 inches from the edge of the board. So which of these is correct and can you please provide a page number where this is clearly stated? Thanks!
Bonus!: Does Ghaz have to make his difficult terrain tests when making this move with a squad of kommandos? Thanks!

You are correct. Treat the model as being just off the table and it gets it's full move coming onto the table.
Yes, Ghaz will have to make his S&P test.

Outflank move is detailed on Page 94.
"Models move onto the table as described for other reserves, above."
Arriving from Reserve P.94 says "Each models move is measured from the edge of the battlefield, as if they had been positioned just off the board in the previous turn and moved as normal."
So the front of the base is placed just off the table and measured from that position.
Bonus: Any unit with slow and purposeful must still roll the dice for movement whenever they move, Including the outflank move.

Yes. However both Ghaz and the Kommandos have 'Move-Through-Cover' so you're rolling 3d6 and picking the highest.

To be fair, Ghaz doesn't outflank when he is attached to snikrot's squad... He ambushes. Common mistake but a huge in game difference.

Because IC's lose Infiltrate and or scout when they join a Unit.
They do not lose ambush.
