Trade value not playability? I ask cause I have over a hundred that I plan on tradeing along with some other tau stuff in the swap shop. I want to start a SM army, not sure what chapter yet maybe BA. All are assembled about 50 50 on not primed/primed. I would like only new or lightly primed marines and i also would need a rhino or 2. Does 2 fire for 1 marine sound fair? or should it be 3?

I personally usually go more retail for retail in trades or as close to that as possible.

According to Fire Warrior(Novel) One is worth:

A Librarian
2 Tac marines
Several Guard Squads
and a Daemon Prince.




Seriously though, I would prolly go for 12 Fire warriors/10 Marines. IIRC, both box sets are about 35 bucks.

Drones are almost worthless. Well I mean if I was trading I wouldn't want any more drones. You get more then you need very quickly.

15 fires for 10 tacs seems right to me (I own/play both and that's what I would expect on either end of the bargain).

Dunno. Few people actually run more than the minimum-six Firewarriors anyhow. Perhaps a few more if you want plastic-Pathfinders. I certainly wouldn't trade anything "Marine" for Firewarriors at this point. Gimmie Suits, Fish, etc.. .

I was going for troop choice for troop. But yes I do have other things to include on the trade.
