Why, oh WHY my dear GW, do you insist on making this difficult? I thought I found a great buy at a low price for NIB TS on ebay. Apparently not, as I am going to be trying to super glue metal on plastic.
Do any of you have any advice on this or happen to know of any tutorials? I can't seem to find anything, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I'm not stupid. I'm just looking for a practical way to do it. I'm having trouble keeping them together with just super glue. Between poor 'stick' and sliding, it's not going so well.

Well, you made a deal...
Dont try to superglue it only, instead, take a pinvise, a 0.5mm drill and some greenstuff.
Make a small hole in each piece, dont mind obout linig it, then, take the greenstuff and make a small ball of it, no serious it must be small, very small...
1 drop of superglue on the hole, push the green stuff on it, another drop of superglue on the other hole, put it into position. Hold for a second, and put it to cure/dry.
Second way (the cheap): take an alfinet, pinvise and model. Make the holes, taking care with the lining (not so much, plastic will deform, and shoulder pads will hide imperfections). glue drop on the hole, alfinet (pin) into the hole, cut it with a plyer, glue into the other hole, put it in place, wait to dry...
Should work

I use regular "Krazy Glue" from Wal-Mart. Cheap and works fast.
Also, are you washing the pieces first? there may be some oils on there that are screwin' with the glue.

Small ball of GS between the torsos and legs. Squish it into place and apply a small drop of glue to it. Allow to dry.
Don't use too much glue. A little works better than a lot.
Take your time - even with superglue.

Yeah, shouldn't need too much for it to do the trick. I've personally never had any trouble with metal on plastic, hence my puzzlement.

Make sure both parts are scraped clean & smooth with a knife before gluing.
If your superglue doesn't make your eyes water a bit when you open it, buy new super glue.

the green stuff/super glue trick i worked out while having a perticually horrific time attaching my mates tiger sharks engin mounts to the rear, so i smoothed it off as clear as i dared, scraped a smooth surface of GS over it, then with the engin cowling i created a thin seal around the edge about a mm leaving a small gap on the under side in the corner to allow air flow (as i clamped it) as i filled the center with SG its worked brillently, also recommented for fixing the rail guns in place

So far I've just glued my Sons together by putting a bit of plastic glue on the plastic part, superglue on the metal part, then holding 'em together till they stick, which usually doesn't take long. Not as secure as pinning though, and I wish I'd known the green stuff trick earlier. Ah well.
I'm most likely not going to get another squad of Sons until they come out in either finecast or full plastic. Fingers crossed for new sculpts! XD

If you don't wish to pin ever piece then score marks in both pieces should do the trick. I find that gel superglue is best.

The GS trick works, so does straight pinning. CA like Zap a gap is really the best GLUE to use as Krazy glue has a muc smaller percentage of the active ingredient. Plus you can you an accelerant.
