I was reading through my codex the today and I saw that psykers need to take 'Psychic Tests'. I have heard of them before but if I ever learned what they are I must have forgotten; are psychic tests normal leadership tests or something else? If they are something else please, what are they?

Psychic tests are normal leadership tests, though there's the consequence occasionally triggering a perils of the warp.

I just took a psychic test IRL and the ancient alien spirits told me that this post will soon be moved.

It's not a problem, it happens. People were partially telling you to correct you and partially so that you know where your post went, when you go looking for it later

As someone else mentioned, a psychic test is a normal leadership test using the psyker's own leadership, which must be passed to use a psychic power. Furthermore, A "perils of the warp" failure occurs on either a double 1 or a double 6. Perils of the warp leads to a wound with no armour or cover saves allowed (invulnerable can be used, but is re-rolled on a success!). The power still fires on a double 1, even if the pysker died because of the Perils roll. This is covered in the main rulebook on page 50.
