I'm not sure if theis has been FAQ'd or Errata'd in the past but i cant view the GW website at work so here i am.
Can Chaos Vindis take the siege shield? I dont think it is in their wargear or even an option, but obviously it is part of the model.

Arse. That's annoying as all my Vindis have the damn things on them.
Will have to be a counts-as dozer blade i guess.

Im surprised this hasn't been errata'd or FAQ'd at all. Even a quick line saying "Chaos Vindicators may take a Siege Shield at x points" would do for me.
Did Vindicators have siege shields in the previous codex for SM and CSM or is it a new addition in the current codex?

NEw addition to the current C: SM codex. They would have to then add what a siege shield actually is.
As a general rule they dont add extra "things" to a codex, just fix mistakes.

In third ed, the Vindicator wasn't in the codex, but the Iron Warriors could take them, I don't remember if they could have shields.

Doh. Oh well, hopefully in the next codex this will be included in the list of things to fix.

And Chaos dozer blades aren't even as good as Imperial ones. We have to move 6" or less to use ours, while Imperials aren't limited :(
C'mon 2012 and the rumoured new CSM codex.
