Thousand Sons? I would've gone Plague for one, Bezerk for the others. That way, you can park your plague's on an objective, and when they pop the Rhino for your Bezerkers, you have a second to swoop in and bick them up/ for back-up. Also, it gives you some 20 pts to get some more anti-tank back-up, like adding Meltabombs to your LC Chosens, putting you at 1245. Maybe add a flamer to the Plagues, and viola. 1250.

Oh, and only 4 can have LC's, not 5. So give the final a Melta.

That is /alot/ of points sitting in that Land Raider... like 700pts. And that Land Raider is going to get /alot/ of fire poured into it. Then Adabby and his crew are walking through that same hail of fire.

I also have to agree that there are better options then the 1kSons. They just feel like a after thought.

I think you should seriously reconsider your list design at this level. 700pts in a single unit (transport, unit, HQ) is a heck of a hammer, but you have no anvil because there is really nothing left to support it. This may work better in a 2k list, where you have 1300pts of other stuff to support it.

Give the Chosen max meltaguns. This will struggle with anything above MEQ/GEQ.
