Hello there. I am quite new to Eldar and am needing to build a 2000 point fight to the end type battle list for fighting Tyranids.
What I have so far
1x 1Eldrad =210
2x 9 Dire Avengers+ Bladestorm =280
1x 10 Fire Dragons+ Crack Flamer=177
2x 10Harlequin =360
5x 1Wave Serpent+TL Scatter Laser Stone =625
3x 1Fire Prism+ Stone=345

The idea is to keep the whole army sliding around at 12" speed while working over troops and nibbeling at MCs with the 3 Fire Prisms and 5 Scatter lasers as long as possible. When cornered and when the Gene Stealers begin to arrive, I set the Harles in terrain to try blocking and hunting them, the Dires jump out in front to slaughter gaunts or the kile small units, dragons jump out when they can attack MCs/Warrors or such, and i try to keep the vehicles moving and hammering away. Thoughts? Advice? If it were a normal match I would likely try doubeling the troup numbers, 2 being WAY too low for 2000pts.

On another note, I was wondering to use against GK(Runs Storm raven, Land Raider or 2, Dread Knight, Drago, paladins, and Purifiers) I love the idea of Banshee but think they would fail against 2 wound paladins and maybe against Purifiers as well. Soo came up with:
1980 VS GK
1x 1Fuegan =210
6x 1Wave Serpent+ Bright lance, each carrying 10 Dragons =1770
Seems super cheesy but vs GK.....

if the banshess get doom and a full squad you can usually make short work of marines and with two wounds it improves the likely hood of you staying in combat with only a few of them left. maybe trim the harlies for some heavy weapons on the WS if your worried about the Raven/raider.

I will say 10 man fire dragon squad is over kill trim them to no more than 6 if you are really worried about killing something and use the points for the better weapons on oyur WS of holofields for you fire prisms.

- Swap one of your Prisms for a Nightspinner, it's priceless against nids.

- Harlies are meh vs nids. If you don't kill the whole units their 5+ save is goign to fail you against all the attacks nids will put out. Also, Harlies can not take Serpents as Dedicated transports.

- 10 dragons is overkill. For nids take 4 + Exarch with crack flamer

- Bladestorm vs nids is... eh. It's a good way to erradicate full squads, but made be a touch overkill in most situations. I don't really know how that would play out so I'll reserve judgement.

- Eldrad... never a bad choice


The big key to Eldar vs nids is tanks tanks tanks. They really have squat that can pop our tanks at range, but you have to beware furious charge hordes getting ahold of you in CC. S4 in mass volume means glancing death to even a fast moving skimmer.
