Hi all, I've a very long therms project on the Iron Hands theme on the table from allready a bit of time.

Since I finally completed my "personal sprue" ready do be casted in resin I have to start building the lists.

Due to the big size of the project I putted down 3 lists for the moment. All at 2000 pts.

Which one between the 3 do you consider the most competitive? Even if all really touched by the fluff? The first one I'll complete is the first one I'll use in tournaments so think about the now-a-days meta games..

wolves, definitely wolves

Vannilla or wolves, Vulkan list is used well good gear choices based on his rules, Not a huge fan of Bjorn tbh

I'm voting for the vanilla marines, I like the list better, and no it isnt because I dont like space wolves or blood angels

Not only is a technically good list (especially for tournaments) but in fact fit almost perfectly the Iron Hands theme. In any case the various units will easily fit on the charcteristics IH untis.

@Feel No Pain - of course the Bjorn isn't the most scary HQ available for wolves (a part his cost.. in this case absolutely damn scaring).
But for these kind of really long-ranged shooty lists can bring you a lot of very good days.

Starting first you'll fastly comprehend how the game would go on and, not only hitting very hard to opponent, you'll can alwais play in anticipation.
Consider this as a life safer little trick, something that really change your matches when with you just 3x five little power armoured guys.

Wolves, although i personaly like the Vulkan list more

The SW list is better but I would have more fun playing the Vulkan list.

Well, i would assume the ultimate goal is have fun playing? I'm sure there is a way to choose the Vulkan list and get some feedback on it to really hammer out a competive force as well!

I considered to exchange my first list with the one posted by dreadknightl (lightly modified).

My first one is for sure a potentially devastating first-turn shooting list.
By the wat, the bigger problem I see in it is the little (quitely fragile) number of troops.

A little bit of shooting power less than the previous version, only 2 Elites Dreadnoughts guarding Bjorn but 5 scoring units and 10 power armors more than before.
Besides, losing 2 speeders in the list (so just 4 missiles and/or 2 easy/free kp for the opponent) isn't finally a great issue.

Shoots count:
- 3x Plasma Cannons;
- 3x Heavy Flamers;
- Living Lightning psyonic power;
- 2x Flamers;
- 3x Meltaguns;
- 24x Pistols;
- 15x Missiles Launchers;
- 7x Lascannons and/or 7x TL plasmaguns.

Better o worst?

I must underline that Dreadknightl have unconsciously well adviced me. Take a look at his post following the link.

EDIT: added the shoots count and changed the psyonic powers.

I agree with you Toban i think the extra scoring units are better.

The Wolves list is probably best, but I think the Blood Angels list is pretty good too. It would be even better if you traded the Scout Bikes for 3 Attack Bikes with Multimeltas. I'd also put the Power Fists in the Assault Squads that have Meltaguns, and the Power Weapons with the Flamers.
