So as keen as i am to spend 15 bucks per dude for my deathstar beast pack at 5 khymeras thats 75 dollars.
i was looking at the chaos war hounds or the vampire count wolf packs from fantasy as you get 10 in a pack it allows some expansion.
Just add some green stuff for the tentacle things and i think the would look pretty good.

Opinions?

I'd go with lotr wargs as a base, myself.

One of the guys in my club used spare gaunt limbs and wargs for his (all plastic).

No GS involved (just a 3mm drill bit to make the sockets for the arms).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The Chaos Warhounds or LOTR Wargs are by far your best bet. One thing to consider is that the Wargs will appear a bit smaller, as they're "truescale" versus "heroscale".

The Dire Wolves from the Vampire Counts however are not a very good idea. They have lots of exposed internal organs, bones, etc that wouldn't look so great even for a Khymera.
