Say for example, a Furioso Dreadnought takes a Drop Pod, does it count as having deep striked, or does it count as having left transport, the turn it is deployed?

I was just reading that a Drop Pod is Open-Topped and it hit me, that unless the models in the Drop Pod count as having Deep Striked, that may assault that turn.

Models in vehicles that enter via deepstrike (i.e. drop pods) are considered to have entered via deep strike themselves. Therefore, no move (except for disembarkation) and no assault.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

The Drop Pod rules also specify that models may not assault the turn they arrive...
