so i have an interesting rules question that requires references from anyone who wants to answer or prove someone wrong. lets say i have a termiced group with champion deep striking on turn 2. i also want my greater daemon to spawn from that champ. can i put down the termies and spring forth on turn 2 or must that daemon come out on turn 3, or later?

I don't have access to the codex atm, however I'd be inclined to go with Turn 3 beings the Terminators were not accessible at the beginning of turn2

The Champion has to start the turn on the table.

You can:
Start with the Terminators on the board and spawn the Daemon from the champion as soon as it becomes available (so Turn 2 or later depending on how well (or not so well) you roll for reserves).
OR
Keep the Terminators in reserve and hope you manage to deep-strike them before the GD becomes available.
It's a LOT safer to use the first option (since if you roll a 1 on turn 2 for your terminators, but a 4 for your GD, and you have no available champion for him to replace, then he is counted as a casualty, similarly if you roll a 4 for the terminators, but also a 4 for the GD, since you can't possess a model that arrived from deepstrike that turn, he would count as a casualty if you had no other champion available).

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
