Ok so First I would like to say I chose space wolves because of the independent character of the army, And not willing to remove any of my HQ But anyways I tried to use every unit I already own so i would like to use what's here but maybe change around wargear? I would also like to keep my model count low, because I have always preferred the "Elite" Jack of all trades. I'm also fairly new so take that into consideration.... Constructive criticism is always welcome.

Wolf Lord 225
-Thunderwolf Mount
-Frost Axe
-Storm Shield
-Fenrisian Wolvesx2

Rune Priest 125
-Terminator Armor, MH/JWW

Rune Priest 100
-LL/MH

Rune Priest 105
-Wolf Tail Talisman, LL/JWW

Wolf Guard pack 290
-TA, Chain Fist, Combi-Melta
-TA, Chain Fist, Combi-Flamer
-TA, Power Fist, Combi-Plasma
-TA, Chain Fist, Heavy Flamer
-TA, Chain Fist
-Drop Pod

Lone Wolf 80
-TH, SS

Lone Wolf 60
-Mark of Wulfen

Dreadnought 140
-Drop Pod

Grey Hunters x6 155
meltagun, wolf standard, mark of the wulfen, rhino

Grey Hunters x6 155
meltagun, wolf standard, mark of the wulfen, rhino

I do believe it comes out to be 1435 So I have some points to spare and looking for insight. Looking at maybe a single Thunderwolf Calvary with a TH? Not sure though.

You have given yourself strict bounds: The same HQs and low model count.
I would want more scoring units and less HQ.

Just to use up points How about a CML, powerweapons for the grey hunters.

Well I want the 4 HQs but I am willing to change them around, I just can't see a more effective loadout for say the Wolf Lord. Contemplating a WG battle leader instead? The Long Fangs pack is up for a toss up because I want all of my units to be able to deal with range and melee, but I guess that is kind of thrown out of question when I have 2 Lone Wolves. And A CC loadout on the WL . Also, I forgot to Add I have the Dread with a Multi-Melta/CCW, and that the Lone Wolves are both in Term Armor as well.

Forgot to add, the people I'll be playing are completely new to the game as well. And will be playing Dark Eldar, Orks, and Necrons. I'll most likely be playing against Orks the most.

By going this route you're leaving out which is probably the best troops choice in the current game, ie Grey Hunters. Getting rid of 2 small units would see you unable to win any game that includes Objectives.

You need more grey hunters at 1500 pts.

Once you start playing more you'll probably see that the 4 HQs are too much. Three Rune priests is too much. They are mainly utility characters and you don't have enough meat in the army to provide utility to. At least cut out one. Where is your Terminator armour Rune Priest going to go? It can't go in the Drop Pod, nor the rhinos.

You have four individual model units that move 6-12 inches at a time. If the opposing army is mechanized, they are going to go around those models, kill your troops and then mop up your independent characters.

2/3 games are objective based. With this army you'll be able to claim, at most, 2 objectives. There are potentially 5 objectives in a game. You've limited yourself too much.

Finally, you need some long fangs.

For now, you're playing with the stuff you have and that's fine. If you want to play outside your small group, I'd recommend buying some more rhinos and grey hunters and modelling some long fangs. (The rhinos come with hunter killers and I use them on my long fangs since ML are individually quite expensive).

Why do none of your Rune Priests have Choosers of the Slain? They're bargains.

Drop the wolf tail talisman, it's really a waste.

If you're using Rhinos, get more Grey Hunters. You've got two fire points, and ten GH in a squad gives you a free assault weapon. Besides that, Grey Hunters are an excellent troops choice. They're the bread-and-butter of any Space Wolves force, and they're never a bad choice.

Why do none of your HQ units have sagas?

I am surprised that no one has noticed that you have 4 elites choices. You will have to remove one inorder to have a legal FOC. As far as the rest of your list. I echo everyone else about the grey hunters. You need more. If you only want two packs then you have to boost them up to 10 each. 20 Grey Hunters are much better than 12.
You will also be able to double up on those special weapons with 10 man packs.

10 GH with 2 Melta, Standard, MOTW in a rhino is 220 and really is a force all in their own right.

Like Warboss Brokentoof said, you need to drop 1 elite choice to be able to play at all.

The dread drops in first turn all on his own. If you're doing this i'd do it with 2's, keeping them cheap to hold up the army. The Lone wolf with just motw is just going to be useless. Same goes for 2nd one i guess, but at least he wont die too fast, but he wont get anywhere on the battlefield either since no transport he can borrow.

Looks like I'm back to the drawing board..... while I do enjoy "fluff" I also enjoy playing a game I can have a chance. Also on the elites thing I realized I misread it as 3 optional with 3 compulsory which obviously isn't the case. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I would like some legit help. This is what I have

-2 boxes of terminators(yeah I got the omg terminators is cool syndrome and went out and bought 2 immediately)
-1 box of grey hunters(obviously going to need more)
-1 Dreadnought(the assault on black reach one but converted to space wolves
-1 logan grimnar(another omg cool purchase(actually saw the logan wing army and thought it would be cool, but not sure if I would constantly
just get decimated so I kind of nixed that idea)

What I would like to have is a list either 1000 or 1500 with pretty much every unit being able to be capable of taking on any task. I'm a very big fan of the Jack of all trades, master of none, but often times the master of integration outlook on things.

So I would like to just ask anyone that is willing to help a newcomer out with a list of using what i got(would actually rather not use logan because I don't really like taking characters)
