Do we know Vulken He Stan's current whereabouts or is his location unknown while he searches for artifacts?

I'll start the war.

He's alive and up to something.

He is in the warp having a brew with Leman.
(source: because I think that is what they are doing)

You're both thinking of Vulkan the primarch. He is asking about Vulkan the Forgefather.

@OP: I don't think his whereabouts are currently known. Named characters like him some times appear in the novels though. I would recommend looking into the current Salamanders series of books. He shows up in the second book, Firedrake, and I would expect him to be in the upcoming third book, Nocturne, as well.

I've also not read Nocturne yet, but certainly in Firedrake he was on the homeworld, which is the only time he's shown up in any fiction outside the Codex.

He's most likely looking around the book of fire at the homeworld at the moment.

I just started reading Nocturne and as of the first 2 chapters, he's yet to make his presence known. I'll keep you updated.

Also, by when do you mean 'current'? Warhammer 40,000 doesn't really have a 'now', it's just there's a final date on the timeline.

Vulkan He'stan the Forgefather of the Salamanders.
Not the Primarch.
The Primarch is still kicking too.
