Does the Skimmer's moving fast rule downgrade the ordinance penetrating hit or only the normal penetrating hit? I can see an argument for both sides, I am just wondering how people play it.

An ordnance penetrating is still penetrating, hence ordnance penetrating becomes glancing.

I think Centurian99 didn't read this right.

If the skimmer moves over 6 inches it can only be glanced. If it moved 6 inches or less it can be pen'd and you would use the Ordance Pen table.

Actually, you missed the part where the OP said that you're using the "moving fast" rule. He got it right... and so did you; you just talked past each other.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

Anderton, it takes a special kind of moron to simultaneously be right AND let everyone know he's got a two digit IQ.

Bravo Sir.

You sir need to learn some manners. I guess your mother didn't teach you correctly. If she had raised you right you'd have had a pillow put over your head.

I don't know about that. Honestly, most people let him off pretty well considering his, shall we say, contributions.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias

Why must we always make it personal when the Captain is involved?  If he insults you, ignore him.  Insulting him back just gives him an excuse to post more.

Really Mauleed, that was a bit of a cheap shot. Its always interesting to watch the comments in a heated internet "argument" but I don't see that occurring here.

"Bygones" people, "Bygones". Lets keep our responses based on the here and now and not on and past "case history." People can't change if you won't let them.
