In the Ring of Debris Around Uranus

Disclaimer: This game had more than 25% cover, but we wanted the fun and challenge in playing in a more dense city setting. In addition we both agreed that we could take 3 HQ choices and 4 Heavy Support choices prior to the game, so yes is does not follow the normal allotment, it was something we agreed upon to have some fun with characters we do not always get to play. For those that are sticklers, it is probably better to not read or view the rest of this bat rep. Otherwise to the rest of you ENJOY! We had fun!

Quick Run down

Eldar:
1.) Eiluj aka Saim-Hann’s Eldrad
2.) Karandras
3.) Scorpion squad 10 - exarch with power claw - Wave Serpent Shuri Cannons TL and Shur Cannon, SS, Vectored Engines
4.) Seer Council - Farseer Spear, RoW, RoW, SS, Doom, Guide, Fortune, bike, 2 warlocks Spears and Embolden, 1 Warlock spear and Enhance, 3 Warlocks - Destructor
5.) Fire Prisms - SS and Holofields
6.) 2 War Walker Squads 3 each with 2 Scatter Lasers each
7.) 2 Jetbike Squads 3 strong - 1 shuri cannon, + Warlock - Spear and Destructor
8.) 2 Fire Dragon Squads 6 strong each - 1 Exarch Each - Firepike, Crack Shot - Serpent Shuri cannon TL and Shuri cannon with SS

Imperial Guard:
1.) Command Squad w officer of the fleet
2.) 2 Platoons flamers, grenade launchers, missile launchers, las cannons
3.) Techpriest with 5 servitors - Heavy Bolters 2-3?
4.)Devil Dog
5.) 3 Chimeras with Veteran Squads - 2 melta and 1 plasma?
6.) Psycher battle squad
7.) 3 Leman Russes and 1 demolisher Leman Russ
8.) Old Man Jenkins the Psycher - Definitely the MVP of the GAME - this guy never periled (even Eldrad did once - rolled 3 6’s)
9.) Sentinel
I may have missed things on the IG sorry

Prelude:

Eiluj sat his mental presence, what humans call the soul, raced across the warp skene to look at the future paths of his craft world and the Eldar race. His latest vision jolted him back into his physical body and a few of the runes that floated about his head fell to the matted floor. Eiluj licked the salty perspiration from his upper lip and he replayed the vision in his head again. He had seen human ‘monkeighs’ belonging to the inquisition Ordo Xenos group experimenting on Eldar. Worse than this he felt the disconnected souls of dead Eldar locked in their Way Stones - the Tears of Isha, unable to join the Infinity Circuit and their Eldar Ancestors. This last parcel of the vision had disturbed Eiluj deeply. It was terrible enough that the Eldar’s only hope to escape from “she who thirsts” was to capture their spirit upon death into Spirit Stones. However this was used to help the Eldar spirit join the Infinity Circuit aboard a Craftworld and release the spirit to interact with generations past. Eiluj knew that he must not only destroy the facility, but also rescue the spirits of the hundreds of Eldar so that they could be at peace in the Infinity Circuit. Although this facility was small and its defenses meager, the lab was on a hive world. This world had a large population of humans as well as a sizable Imperial Guard force garrisoned on planet. A large but swift strike force would be needed to destroy the facility and leave with little trace. Now he needed to convince the families of the craft world that this was a worthwhile endeavor, as Eiluj would need most if not all of the families involvement to carry this raid off.

Post Battle Report:
Eiluj could not help a smile as he laid the last Waystone at the roots of the infinity tree. The battle had been terrible and the loss great, but the facility had been disabled and the spirit stones recovered. Their spirits could rest in the comfort of the infinity circuit.

Nice report there sir. I really like the writeup you did to make it into a "story" not just playing a game It reminds me of the writeups they used to do in White Dwarf back in the day before a battle rep. Looking forward to more!

p.s I have added you as a friend to make it easyer to find your stuff and well because I am friendly like that

= Kabal of the Sundered Storm (3000+ pts of Dark Eldar)
= Bjorn Stormwolfs Great Company (6000+pts of Space Wolves)
= The Ancients (4000+pts)
= The warband of Aconis the Indefatigable (Black Legion w/ Daemon allies 5000+pts)

thanks for viewing the report. I have two other video batreps on the battle reports pages, take a look at them. My first bat rep was pictures, but had trouble posting them so that one is hard to follow. Take care and cheers. I always try to make a story out of my battles. With the Eldar being so low in numbers, they are not about to fight without good reason, or at least one good to them. Take care.

Nice report man, the camera work was a bit better than the last one of yours I watched. Also that music was from the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3, for that alone you get gross points!

Eldar Corsairs: 4000 pts
Imperial Guard: 4000 pts

Thanks man, I am trying to continue to improve the filming. I was even geeky enouph after my first video batrep to buy a movie maker software program to try to make the movies better. I did not have a lot of MP3 and I remembered that my HoMM3 had MP3 in the program files and I remember liking the music to it, so voila I used it. You're the first person who got where it was from. The game was by far the best in the series... poor 3DO..Ubisoft could have done more with it.

The next step is to get a program that takes your movie, and simulates their movements in real time so we can actually see the battle!!! that would be cool

I will work on that. May be next step would be to come up with a 3d simulator and you could watch the battle playout 3d real time as you command your army. There is our claim to fame..... well maybe not..

Fun report. The filming quality was much better and easier to follow. Definitely like the Saim Hann themed army.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
