I am new to marines in general and need some help making a list that is newbie freindly...I have been playing 40k for about a year now and i have always played tau but now wanna broaden my horizons.

Any help would be much obliged.

Razorback spam. Loads of 5 man squads in razorbacks. Maybe some preds. and go for mephiston.

This is easy to play and play fairly well. You just have to manoeuvre tanks into and out of range of the enemy's/your guns.

If you went for all jump packs for example that requires some ability to judge how and where to come down.

As MFletch said Razorspam is a pretty simple list and hits hard. Just take las/plas Razorbacks with 5 man Assault Squads with a special weapon. Then throw in some Priests and supporting units i.e Vindicators or Predators.

You could also run a jump infantry list. This is easier to use than a DoA list and more competitive. You just jump across the board and run first turn, then next turn you're in assault. Use Devastators to help with long range support

i think these points are right im just going off the top of my head for a mech list ive been working on.
so far this is about 2070. you can drop a libby and add another pred or something to try and make it more close to 2k
