As the title says, I put together a 2500 marine list and wanted to know what people think about it. Here it is:

I'm not sure about the Vangaurd veterans. They seem pricy. Thoghts? comments?

I don't think scouts can take rhinos as dedicated transports. Why do you have 30 terms walking or perhaps DSing? I would drop one of those squads and one of the preds and get a LR. Also, im curious as to why you have no tactical squads? scouts are cool but they seem too weak to be the only objective holders in an army.

Frankly, if you want to take a ton of Terminators, a Deathwing army would be the way to go. They'd be able to take Cyclone launchers, and they'd be Troops.

Because the whole point of this list is to swarm the enemy with so many hard to kill units, they can't kill them all. I would drop one of those squads and one of the preds and get a LR. The reason I don't have any Land Raiders in my list is because I have had no good experiences with them. Their too expensive for what they are. This is my personal preference of course. Also, im curious as to why you have no tactical squads? I have no problem with tactical sqads. I've played some games with them and thought they were pricy for what they did, when scouts can do the same thing for less points. scouts are cool but they seem too weak to be the only objective holders in an army. The idea was for them to be holding objectives from inside a rhino. Then if the rhino was wrecked they could hide in cover with (most likely) a 4+ cover save. Since they can't take rihnos I'm not sure what to do.

The thing is, the only reason I'm taking this list is to have the durability of 2+ and 3++. I've played five of them before and seen how destructive they can be. But 30 of them? That's no walk in the park to beat. If I wanted a deathwing army, I'd be playing Dark Angels.

deathwing can take a squad of 5x TH/SS terminators that pack 3++ invuls, AND give them a cyclone launcher, AND count them as troops, AND give them fearless, for only 35 points more than your elite squad terminators.

For 2500 you can have Belial and 9 Squad Termie Spam


Yes 46 fething Terminators packing 18 ML shots and roughly 28Th/SS and 18 LC-Pairs.

DA scouts are not dreadful. Preds are a good choice with deathwing. Ezekial is agood librarian. Venguard doesn't exist but otherwise you can bring the same units.

If you like termies but dislike landraiders then deathwing is an obvious fit.
Do not just take 9 squads though this will win some battles for you.

If I hadn't already painted a good portion of my army, I'd go buy the DA codex right now. but as it is, I'll stick with normal marines.:(

Personally I think that list would be fun to play but really bad in a tournament for these reason:

A) Scout squads are easier to take down then TacMarines
B) Your Terminators chew up points if your not playing a list that would benefit greatly from that many points in 3 units.

Other then that, With a few changes you could turn it into a pretty good list.
