Okay, 2 questions
1) How does ID work? I have heard of it but can't find it in the rulebook
2) I know how rolling to hit works, BS 2 = 5 or better, 3 = 4 or better ... 6-10 = 2 or better with a re roll, but how do you explain that. I say take your BS, subtract 7, change it to positive numbers and that is the minimum amount you need to roll. This is all a bit cumbersome so could somebody suggest a better way?
Thanks in advance.

Instant death is when you have a weapon that's strength is twice or more the victims toughness, then it doesn't matter how many wounds they've got, the wound will kill them outright...It sucks!
I am sure someone will put the page number here in a few minutes though. As for the other one, well, I just got used to remembering! Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually, my opponents got used to reminding me first!

1) If weapon Strength is 2xToughness, unsaved Wounds kill model regardless of number of Wounds on profile.
2) 7-BS=hit roll. Can't get much simpler than that, really.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

Page 26. The rulebook has this nifty thing called an index at the back.

Just make it easier on yourself. 7 - BS is what you need to hit. The book actually tells you that straight up.

Basically 7 minus BS for BS of 1-5
6-10 will always hit on a 2+, but if you miss you get a re-roll but at BS minus 5 for the re-roll.
Like on this chart for clarity
BS 1=6
BS 2=5
BS 3=4
BS 4=3
BS 5=2
BS 6=2 (with a re-roll if you miss the first shot but you need a 6 to hit on the re-roll)
BS 7=2 (with a re-roll if you miss the first shot but you need a 5 to hit on the re-roll)
BS 8=2 (with a re-roll if you miss the first shot but you need a 4 to hit on the re-roll)
BS 9=2 (with a re-roll if you miss the first shot but you need a 3 to hit on the re-roll)
BS 10=2 (with a re-roll if you miss the first shot but you need a 2 to hit on the re-roll)
