Hello there, here is my most recent conversion for my space marine army, I wanted to use the OOP blood angel Sargent from the OOP Metal tactical squad but I didn't like his legs as he had the Mark VI shin armor type. I wanted all my marines to have the same type armor so I took a another metal space marine with suitable legs in a similar position and then removed the legs just above the knee caps and I also removed the skull on the left knee pad with a file. I then cut the Blood Angel Sargent legs of just above the knees and the piping at the back then I remove the Blood Droplet on his chest plate with a knife and replace with a skull that I had, I also cut of his blood droplet earring, There is one more on his upper leg next to the gun holster, I've left this one for the moment. (I might remove it?)
I then Drilled four holes two in the lower legs and two in the upper legs then I cut about a two 5mm length wire to use as pins, once I was happy with position I glued the pins with a drop of super glue in the lower legs first, waited for them to dry and then applied some drops to the upper legs and put the torso into place. Once that was dried I then Got some modeling putty, Green Stuff (first time I've used it) made a very small amount and put two little sausages around the gaps.I Smoothed it out with a flat surface and water to keep it smooth and easy to iron out the bumps. And that's about it just got to paint it now. Sorry for the pictures being the wrong way up? They where fine on my computer, I'm new to how the site works though so I might have uploaded the pics wrong?
