Hello Dakka!

Just a quick note that the next event in our monthly Warmachine/Hordes Steamroller Tournament Series is coming up in two weeks on Saturday, October 22!

Entry is $10 or $20 purchase. Games will be played at the 50 point level, and players should bring two lists with two different Warcasters/Warlocks for their faction. Character models can not be repeated in lists, and this applies to warcasters/warlocks (so you can't have prime deneghra in one list and epic deneghra in the other!)

The tournament starts at 10:00, and the format will be Swiss-style rounds using the new SR 2011 rules and scenarios. Players will play through four rounds of approximately 1.5 hours each, with a 45-minute lunch after round 2. Each player turn is timed with a twelve-minute time limit. Once per round, a player may call for a three-minute time extension. The event should conclude around 5:30. Prizes are in store credit and go to the top finishers; the amount of credit that gets given out depends on the number of entries paid. The more that play, the more credit is in contention!

And, seeing as this one is the the first big-deal Warmachine tournament we'll be hosting in the new space, I've corralled a variety of cool stuff to give away as door prizes and to the winners, including coins, shirts, and maybe even a signed copy of one of the older books!

There is no painting score, and models are not required to be painted, so break out all that bare metal!

It all goes down at Game Empire in Pasadena
1795 E. Colorado blvd. (corner of Allen and Colorado)
Pasadena, CA 91106

No luck for yours truly to actually play in this one... pity too; I've been honing my edge lately! Ah well, glory to someone else, I guess!

If you have any questions, please let me know and I will do my best to get them answered ASAP, and hopefully I'll see you there!

Update!

As some of you out there may know, we have a production company developing a reality TV show based on our store. The crew will be here filming this event, so if you want the chance to get your pretty mug (or models!) on TV, make sure you come down for this one!

As an added bonus, the winner of this event has a chance to go with us and the TV show to the Warmachine tournament at Neoncon in Las Vegas!
