So, I've just finished Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Took me about 6 hours. Let me begin by saying that I really liked the previous game by developer Beenox, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. It had its flaws, but it made up for it by offering a lot of variety and tons of fanservice. Edge of Time ditches 2 of the Spider-Men from SD and the interesting levels in favor of a more narrative-focused game about Spider-Man and Spidey 2099. They have to work together across time to stop an evil scientist from altering the timeline. The entire game takes place in one big industrial/laboratory complex which is pretty boring to look at. Combat is nothing special and the swinging lacks any momentum. Instead of fighting classic Spidey villains or some inspired by them, you work your way through tons and tons of generic looking robots and mutants. Doc Ock has an embarissing cameo and then there's a fight against a Cyborg Black Cat, which comes completly out of the blue and is pretty boring as well. Pretty much the only good thing about this game is the dialog by Peter David and the delivery of said dialog by the two Spidey voice-actors. The rest is complety forgetable and not worth your time or money.
